About the Project
In the scripted anthology-format short film series, We Call Each Other, a community learns how to build relationships that dissolve their reliance on prisons and police. Through the cultivation of love-based experiments, each story features characters who grapple with how to respond to instances of harm and crisis.

Sarah Oberholtzer is a filmmaker and creative invested in telling stories that allow audiences to imagine alternative futures that support BIPOC communities. With experience as an Impact Producer, Story Producer, and Co-Producer for projects ranging from experimental portraits to documentary features, their work has screened at Black Harvest Film Festival, Trans Stellar Film Festival, Imagine This Women’s International Film Fest and Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project (QWOCMAP). Sarah received a bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television + Film from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
